Screw Pine Cone Offering on my Altar to Long Life
This wood-carved statue of a young Chinese boy carrying two baskets of turtles is a traditional symbol of Long Life. So I perched him on an honor-bestowing stand in the midst of the yellow and green-striped Bamboos to do his magic!
Yesterday I placed a green Screw Pine Cone in the middle clay flower pot. This morning I was shocked to see that... overnight... the cone had opened revealing hundreds of yellow-fleshed seeds. I have never seen a Screw Pine Cone open before! And had no idea the inside would be yellow!
It felt like magic so I sense my offering was happily accepted!
